History

Power Resources International, Inc. (PRI) was founded in 1992 by Joe Diurno and Victor Ancelson. Due to their strong family ties and a desire to remain in the New York area after their company decided to relocate, Joe and Victor chose to form their own independent company right on Long Island. Interestingly enough, the new company started simple, at Joe Diurno’s house in the basement. By combining their in-depth knowledge of power, controls, automation and instrumentation, they were able to fully satisfy all aspects in early projects with the Long Island Lighting Company (LILCO) and the Long Island Railroad (LIRR).

Slowly but surely, PRI expanded its distribution business to eventually include engineering and development projects, becoming a full system integrator with hardware and software capabilities. As the business grew and additional employees were hired, PRI relocated to its current location in West Babylon, New York. PRI’s ISO 9001:2015 certified facility supports all engineering, development, sales, procurement, fabrication and administrative activities.
