Greetings to PRI clients, suppliers, and friends.

The worldwide spread of the unprecedented COVID-19 coronavirus is a fast-changing situation which will likely continue in the coming weeks and months. From the outset PRI has focused on protecting members of its team and our clients, customers, and contract-vendees. We have done so by paying close attention to the guidance and direction provided by national, state, and local government officials, as well as top health organizations. However, in the past few days, the information and new directions from these government entities and health officials have rapidly evolved. It is now clear that this global pandemic, and the governmental, commercial, and personal responses thereto, will directly impact PRI’s ability to meet contract deadlines including, but not limited to: testing; fabrication; assembly, delivery of equipment and software, engineering and system integration, and on-sight project management, consulting, quality assurance, and warranty services.

There are many unforeseen consequences of the COVID-19 virus which are beyond PRI’s control that will effect PRI’s ability to timely meet performance deadlines including, but not limited to: delays by and non-performance of manufacturers and distributors of equipment; interruption in and unavailability of our domestic and international supply chain; labor issues and illness within PRI and its supply chain, distributors and support industries; lack of access to manufacturers’ factories and assembly plants; limited access to Owners’ property, personnel and equipment; and restrictions on travel and personnel assembly.

As this global health crisis continues PRI will closely monitor the situation and take measures to protect our employees, business associates, and communities. However, PRI’s delays caused by this crisis are beyond its control, as is the case with most of the U.S. and international business communities. Due to the ever-changing nature of this situation, PRI cannot at this point estimate when the crisis will be over, and when those in our business world will return to normalcy in production and delivery, so predicting a recovery schedule at this point would be no more than a random guess.

For these reasons, although PRI will use its best efforts to fulfill our contractual obligations to the extent permissible under these extraordinary circumstances, our performance will most certainly be delayed by this force majeure and an extension of time, without penalty or liability, is necessary.

Nevertheless, as we move forward in these uncertain times communication will be especially critical. We have encouraged our suppliers, vendors, subcontractors, and manufacturers to utilize virtual means of communication to conduct business with PRI whenever possible. We will diligently update you on relevant developments as they occur.

It is our hope that this health crisis will soon be over so that PRI will once again be able to provide you with our best products and services.
