PRI Completes Work at 190th Street

West Babylon, NY – PRI’s engineers have finished testing and integrating the new CCTV Cabinet, ADA CCTV Cameras, ADA Intercoms, and PSLAN Network at 190th Street Station (A Line), as part of the New York City Transit’s (NYCT) 6 Elevator Replacement at 181st and 190th Street Station project. The company completed the first part of the project in the summer of 2021, which consisted of integrating new ADA cameras and equipment into the existing PSLAN Network at the 181st Street Station

The new CCTV security and network equipment are meant to assist in modernizing and restructuring the 190th Street Station so that it is ADA accessible and compliant. The updated station will allow nearly anyone to travel up the west side of Manhattan and access the beauty of Fort Tryon Park as well as the history and artwork showcased at the Met Cloisters, located inside the park.

PRI is thrilled to assist in creating a more accessible way for tourists and locals to travel up the west side of Manhattan using the NYCT subway system. The company takes great pride in helping expand the subway’s accessibility and looks forward to updating and integrating more ADA stations across the metropolitan region in the future.
